A crash of hefty wings knocked Jackie Paper off the bed. A breath of excited fire roared over her sleepy head. Magic gold bled onto the sharded floor. Oblivious, Puff wagged his naughty tail.
“Settle down Puff; next time use the door.”

I love that song, “Puff The Magic Dragon.” Then, I learned what it was really about. Still love it.

This is my favorite take on the prompt, maybe because I grew up listening to that song. Very clever and unique!

In theory, I’d love one, too. But there’s enough lovely chaos here without some giant lizard randomly torching things…
I did have an iguana once….

A dragon would require some house-training. An iguana would have been lovely.

And the dragon-house would need fireproofing! =D

ha! Puff came in through an unconventional entrance to the room just like his/her author did with this gargleblaster. I always feel like your entries are riddled with subtle references. Jackie Paper?

Thanks Nate. They are! Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff. (from the song Puff the magic dragon)

Love this. Am pleased his excited breath roared over her sleepy head and didn’t take it off – with a name like Jackie Paper I fear for her safety with Puff around.

It was my first attempt at drawing on a tablet, which is very weird. (I might rework it a little when I get used to it.) Have you tried that?

Great drawing! I am looking forward to drawing on a tablet or on my ipad but I can’t yet find a stylus that suits me. I have been looking in the shops for a while.
I also don’t have a tablet. I need to do a bit more research to find a tablet.

I did it on an ipad in Artrage using a cheap stylus. It takes some getting used to. Some apps don’t pick up the stylus at all.
